Kizuna — Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2026-07-21
Kizuna ("the bot", "we") is a Discord bot for collecting, trading, and dropping character cards. This page explains what data Kizuna stores and why.
What we store
- Discord IDs— your Discord user ID and, for servers using Kizuna, the server (guild) ID. We never see your Discord password, email, or any data outside what Discord's API exposes to bots.
- Gameplay data — your card collection, in-bot currencies (Silver/ Gold), XP/level, daily streaks, quests, achievements, cosmetics, and market/trade history.
- Server settings — configuration an admin sets up (hub channel, thread mode, premium status, and, on our home server only, moderation settings like auto-role/welcome-channel/self-assign roles).
- Art submissions — if you use
/submit, the image file, artist name, and source URL you provide, plus the review outcome. - Moderation records — on our home server only: warnings issued via
/warn(reason, moderator, timestamp).
What we don't do
- We don't sell or share your data with third parties.
- We don't read message content outside of the commands you explicitly run.
- We don't use your data for advertising.
How long we keep it
Gameplay data is kept as long as the bot remains in a server or you keep interacting with it, so your progress isn't lost between sessions. You can request deletion of your data at any time (see Contact below), and we'll remove your user record and associated cards/currency from our database.
Where it's stored
Data is stored in a private, self-hosted PostgreSQL database that we operate and secure. It is not publicly accessible.
Your rights
You can ask us what data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Contact us using the details below.

Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the "last updated" date above and announce it through the bot where practical.
